Father's Day

I just got done putting up a big birdfeeder hanging from a 6' iron post on the edge of my dad's lawn. He should notice it when he gets back from camp in the morning. What did you all do for Father's Day?

He drives an '05 Level II btw

I take my dad with me and show him where we're gonna be hunting next year....while doing a little bit of wheeling. He works almost all the time, either with his business or around his house, so he really enjoys getting out of the town and away from everything.

My dads working fathers day. He works his ass off every day of the week for less than minimum wage.

He loves it though. More power to him.

I got him a box of swiss cakes, some milky ways, and a book about bluestone. I was short on cash this fathers day due to my car breaking down.

Went to Agway (my best friend's parents own 2 of them locally), and tried to buy a knife for dad and they gave me the option of 30% off (nice of them in my opinion, good to know good people =) ), now I went over and asked about Aaron's (my best friend) pocket knife, and he said to go ask his dad about them, and I asked him about them, he came out with one, handed it to us free of charge =)
Aparently they are going to be a promotional item this Fall for Carhart items.

Nice wooden handle on it, sharp-strong blade. Very nice =).

Well, I can't make it home to see my dad today, but I am gonna give him and Gramps a call later. My sis and I went in and got him a real nice cooler box for hunting.

In a crazy way, so did my dad. He was looking for a new truck for himself, found my "Flying Eggplant,", and thought it'd be perfect fit for me.

Dad knows best and he was right. Three years and close to 35,000 miles later, we've be inseperable.

My dad also taught me the basics on how to maintain a vehicle. He and I have spent many times tearing apart and repairing the family fleet over the years.

We have also spent many hours talking "gearhead" about everything from fuel injectors on my sister's (thankfully now dead POS) '97 Hyandai Elantra to his latest job at work (he works as a mobile service tech for Altec Industries, which is one of the largest builders of utility trucks in the USA) and the mechanics of roller coasters.

Dad, I raise a cold beer with you this fine day!
