changed icm, new coils, wires, plugs, iac, fuel injectors, timing belt and tensioner, new head, air charge sensor and throttle postion sensor. NEED HELP AS QUICK AS POSSIBLE!!!
Did you get this fixed yet? Almost sounds like the cable or linkage is sticking but that is easy to check and fix. If it doesn't do it at idle in neutral or park then it might be related to the clutch interlock switch that gives feedback to the computer during shifting...
Sounds more like a physical issue than computer though...check that linkage and spray it with some lubricant.
thanks the linkage isn't binding clutch interlock possible haven't checked. but unplug idle air control runs better you can least go about a mile without overloading
Well, I need to retract that again...clutch interlock doesn't do much other than allow the truck to start with the clutch pedal depressed. There are other functions (according to at least one old guy) but that shouldn't affect your revs...not a computer function...
The IAC is likely the problem...there is a few posts on the effects of that...such as if it is not grounded properly or if it is malfunctioning...
Search on RonD and IAC and you should come up with a better answer...the linkage would be my best guess...control modules are still an issue with me...lol...
