Was thinking of putting a Eaton Elocker in my 8.8. Has anyone used one or have any feedback, good or bad?

Eaton is garbage lol.. If u want true locker go with the Powertrax.. its cheaper and easier to install and not to mention much tougher.

Im gonna have to agree with the durability and ease of install of a powertrax.

So how is the Powertrax for handling? What did it do for your turn radius?

Are you running the eaton Elocker or something else?

I'm not looking for a lunchbox, I want a selectable, which is the reason for asking about the Elocker.

I have an old friend had one in a Jeep yj dana 30 in the front it seemed real good but since the Jeep did'nt have hubs the limited slip portion made it pull to one side in highway use.He finally took it out still in his shop for the back I think I would rather have one than a air leaker but ive come to the conclusion that you don't ned to spend that much for good performance.

It didnt hurt my turning radius and is barely noticable on the street. Occasionally it chirps but not at all an issue. As for a selectable, I had an Auburn Ected in my D35 and hated it! :annoyed: It never did fully lock and wasnt reliable. It cost me a rear end housing after unloading at the wrong time! I got rid of it and have front and rear powertrax in mine now. I will never go back to selectables.
