Couldn't seem to find my specific questions answered through my research.

First of all could I get around shortening my driveshaft by using the shaft from the donor explorer?

Also could i use the passenger side axle beam from the 28 and just swap the knuckle or spindle from the 35 onto that? That would just save me some time at the junkyard.

Maybe and no.

If you have a 1350 case with a slip yoke, you can't just put an Explorer front shaft in it because they attach differently.

I do not think the D-28 beam will work. IIRC the 35 Knuckle is taller and so the ball joints won't seat in right.

Ok thanks. Yes I have a 1350m so that's out. And that's what I figured on the knuckles. I just wanted to be sure.

Thanks!

when I did my swap I grabbed a 1354M so I could use a stock front shaft, my front output was loose anyway...

Ok. If I come across one up there ill grab a t case and the shaft. If not ill just shorten the shaft.

I already have a spare 1350 on the shelf so I may just shorten the shaft.
