Dana 28 to 35 conversion steering linkage

I am assuming the steering components between these two axles are different. Would like to improve the steering, but willing to wait until it is converted if they are different.

You are correct, the D35 is a couple inches wider. You might be able to screw out the adjusting sleeves on your existing steering linkage and be fairly close but I don't know how many threads would be left on the rod ends. I always have used the D35 linkage when swapping one in.
