It's possible but requires way too much work to make it worth while.

Why not put that body on your frame? Seems like less work to me.

if your frame is that bad.. i say go for it! it won't be an overnight project. but it seems worthwhile to me, if you want to keep that truck. DO IT.. just keep us posted with pics and stuff lol

If your talking about putting your d35 under his truck it will require welding in a 4x4 crossmember I believe. But I might be misunderstanding your plans. If your getting his truck and pulling the front end out maybe sas with a jeep d30?

you have to swap engine cross members. the 2wd and the 4wd cross members are set up different.

Don't waste your time or money....buy a 4x4. This topic has been talked about way to often on this site, Bro. Any questions you have just use the search area at the top of the forums on the right hand site of the page.

Pretty muc the fab for the crossmember is the really hard time consuming part, how much is your buddy gonna give you his truck for? You might just wanna drive it 2wd with locker til you can afford the next 4x4

Since you've already got your truck, you don't really need to buy any extra parts. This topic has been brought up yes, but usually with the answer of "by the time you buy all the parts you could have bought a 4x4". Since you have everything already, go for it. If your putting a lift on you will be taking a lot of the parts off anyway. Will take a lot of time though, but if your up for it have at it!
