How many red lights? I got a Halo 3 edition for free that was RRoD'd (1 light, E74, supposed to be one of the hardest to fix) and I fixed it.

I also got some silver thermal compound ($10 from Best Buy, or most use Arctic Silver that you can get online), and some screws and washers like the ones mentioned here (except I used all metal washers instead of the nylon ones):

I did like this guy and made a case opening tool out of a DVD case, except mine was out of the spool kind of case, not the flimsy plastic singles case.

if it has 3 rings or the E74 error and you have not opened up your 360 send it in to be fixed for free. call 18004MYXBOX (18004699269) if your xbox is less then 3 years old it can be fixed for free. if it isnt under warranty it would cost 110$ not worth it since a brand new arcade is 179-199$

I got mine for free from my bro-in-law who didn't have his paperwork for his warranty. I really had nothing to lose so I tore it down. If you have your paperwork/warranty info call MS. I didn't have that luxury so that's why it never crossed my mind. That and I wasn't going to spend $110 for what I could do cheaper.

Another idea is we should set up a TRS game date every month for a certain game like Jan 8th would be Modern Warfare 2 Feb 8th could be Forza 3 kinda like a poker night but for online gaming what do you guys think

i'd def be down for that.....maybe even weekly, i play almost every night anyhow




i just had to fix my xbox because i had the 3 red rings or red rings of death. there are a lot of ways to fix it if you go on youtube. i had to remove the 'x clamps' and put in new screws, works great now. pm me if you need any advice about fixing yours, it really isnt that hard
