While 28 is not cold weather for most parts of the country, here in Dallas it is a cold day. Add rain and and ice and it is quite the mess. Since school was cancelled there was no need for me to drive the bus or the wife and kids to teach so we stayed home. I went out a little while ago to start cars and clean windows. All my old Fords started right up. The son n law tried to start his 2010 Chevy pickup and it would not start. Then I used my old BII to start it. Of course its more a matter of how they are maintaned then brand but it felt good anyway

Dude I'm up in Wichita Falls it is cold like no other up here. I was really hungry so I hopped in my truck and went to get some food, and my Ranger fired right up and it chugged through the ice and slush like it wasn't even there. We had classes cancelled yesterday and today so, I slept in.

It was 0* when I started my truck this morning, the PS pump did a Eeyore type honk noise for a little bit. I patted the steering wheel and said "I feel your pain" and ran back to the house. :D

Thankfully we haven't had any weather to speak of, just really frickin cold.

Good for selling ether, batteries and fuel filters though. :icon_thumby:

40s and 50s here with wind and rain. A gray soggy day. I took my 14 month old grandson for a walk. Out!, he commands and bangs on the slider. He ran UP and Down a little slope. Normally , this time of year, I'm usually kinda blah because of the lack of daylight. But the little guy is keeping me cheerful.:D

Been in the 20's and 30's lately here. I keep hoping for the snow that the weatherman keeps promising but we never seem to get. Couple good snowfalls and I might be able to start paying off my snow plows....

Bah. Two weeks ago I went and sat outside all day. It was windy and a high of 11 degrees for the day. All I saw was a frickin grey squirrel too.

You have to keep a Ford around for starting those GM vehicles well the newer ones anyways LOL.

Its been cold here in southwestern Idaho for about a week now, it was 13* this morning, got up to 27* this afternoon, but with the wind blowing it feels more like -27*. Next couple days its supposed to get down around 0* and possibly below, with highs in the low teens. Last year end of December first of January time we had about a week and a half where it barely got above 0*.

I'm jealous. 40s and 50s here, dark and rainy. Typically my favorite weather, but I'm looking forward to some cold and some snow! Kind of funny because a guy I work with lives about 90 minutes away from me and it's 20s and snowing all the time by him.

What I really don't understand is that only a few people I know ever warm up their vehicle no matter how cold it gets.

It got up to the (almost) teens today, suppose to be 0 or a little bit below tonight. tomorrow doesnt look much better. We have 5/6 inches of snow on the ground, and I havent started my Ranger or Explorer in over a month. Coldest temp for my Ranger was -55 (Gunnison CO). No wind chill, just flat ass cold.

21 here today its been so dry I have to go out and water my plants with hose hooked up to hot water tank cause the soil is so dry,( $1000's in plants), and it rained 4 days ago, but every thing is dry as a bone, and evey one has chapped skin and lips that works out side, with todays wind chill it felt like 10 degrees, coldest in almost 20 years, ranger battery was dead (almost 7 yrs.), yesterday. But I had a good side post that came out of a freinds crashed car so I changed my ends to match, auto zone and local napa are almost sold out of batteries
