This is really more of an annoyance than anything, the tranny still shifts baby-smooth, but the clutch pedal seems to only do any real work in the first 3/4" of travel or so -- the rest of the way to the floor doesn't effect it, and releasing the pedal, it only 'catches' in that last 3/4" or so. Makes it a little tricky to have to lift your foot that far, but it works fine otherwise.

Is this something I can adjust, a sign of clutch wear, or what?

Info:
1989 2.9l RWD Ranger XLT.
M5OD-R1.

It's a hydraulic clutch so there's not really any adjustment to it. I had Bronco ii, and my Ranger are both the same way. My Ford Contour starts to engage a little sooner and it sometimes gets me in trouble if i've been driving the truck a lot.

Sounds normal to me.
