I changed my plugs and wires and when I went to start it I heard this whip-whirl sound and a horrible belt squeal sound, so I shut it down. On investigation, I found a wire on the ground under the engine with one of the boots ripped off. I must have left it in the motor somewhere and it got caught on a belt (which must have been the whipping-whirling sound) I wasn't able to find the boot that got ripped off, and every time I start up I get a quick little belt squeal. When I first started the truck after I changed the plugs, I didn't get any squeal at all until I heard that whip sound. I feel like the boot is jammed in somewhere, but I can't find it. The belt is new too. Where should I look? Just take the belt off and look around in there?
