88' Bronco II with 2.9 lately it is taking longer to start maybe 3-5 seconds of cranking. I replaced the coolant temp sensor with still the issue.
Any ideas on what this could be??
Thanks.

Pull the throttle body get a gasket/s and clean it real good along with the IAC. disconnect the battery while your doing it to reset the computer you need to reset the computer anyway whenever you change or clean a sensor also clean the IAT intake air temp sensor while your at it with maf cleaner, elect cleaner or rubbing alcohol nothing harsh. then run it for 20 minutes to set the new values and see how it runs.

Perform a fuel pressure test,my 88 was doing the same thing until it died on the freeway.Replaced the fuel pressure regulator and now every start is instant.

Thanks, I will try the FPR, I changed the fuel filter again today with no change in the starting issue. Does anyone know on the 88' if there is a filter in the canister on the frame rail ??

Check your fuel pump relay on the passenger side fender in the engine compartment. The one closest to the battery is the relay. It's a good idea to replace it if you still have the orignal. it conrols the signal to the fuel pump under the drivers side seat on the frame. Once I changed mine for pennies I don't have any starting issues.

My 88 has a canister fuel filter.I marked fuel lines locations and removed the canister from the rail and replaced the filter and o ring and re installed.
