bronco2 - 98+ranger 2wd conv?

i'm trying to plan out a 2wd conversion for my b2. i was curious if i could install 98+ ranger front sus parts onto my 89 b2. it might be easier however to just cut the frame from a 98+ donor from the firewall forward seeing as my drivers frame is pretty bent. Thoughts?

98+ have sectioned frames from the factory. they are joined with rivets & welds right at the rear spring perch.
as for swapping the parts over, park next to one and start comparing.
98+ frames differ considerably between the coil spring & torsion bar suspension versions.

This works for the ranger truck not sure if the bronco 2 frames can be done this way as the O.P. said he has a bII.

I was under the impression ranger frames were pretty much the same from 83 to 2011 and b2 frames from the firewall forward were identical to the ranger seeing as they use virtually all the same parts.

the front changed a lot when they started the short-long-arm front independent suspension about '98.
the 2wd came in 2 types, coil, or torsion bar for "heavy duty".
the 2wd heavy duty torsion bar frame is basically a 4wd frame without the transfer case and front differential, axle shafts. they can be converted to 4wd by adding parts.
the 4wd frames are all torsion bar.

Thanks. I was able to compare over the weekend i guess ill leave it alone. Its not like ttb rides that bad. Not the greatest but not bad especially in comparison to old solid axles.
