A 3/4in drive set....... and me hanging off the end of a 5ft cheater bar.
Bolts are cheap, time is not.

Very well said. Siggy material. :icon_cheers:
Wait until you get to work with steel/stainless bolts on aluminum.....on a dialy basis. Sometimes patience is worth it as drilling/tapping/heli-coiling is a royal pain in the ass. That said, any penetrating lubricant in those situations is a lost cause as it makes the eroded material between the dissimiliar metals into a paste that doesn't clear out of the threads and the bolt usually shears off.

You can get cans of acetone from a hardware store like Home Depot, should be in the paint section with the solvents, IIRC.

Just be careful with the stuff, the fumes are something else. Thanks to the EPA, our new solvent based concrete sealer is acetone based... and that stuff is positively wicked. Even spraying concrete outside with a stiff breeze blowing, it'll still make your eyes water and you gag. And it lingers too.

Kroil is amazing stuff. I started using it on the 3 valve 5.4 spark plug removal as specified by Ford. Very quickly found out it works wonders on all types of rusted/seized bolts and stuff. As the can says " The oil that creeps"

CRC Freeze-Off. Nothing else I tried was able to break loose the siezed-in bolts holding the turbine section to the center section of my turbo together. It also worked where the oils didn't help when trying to remove 5/8" bolts holding the rusted out trailer hitch to the frame of my ranger.

I'm partial to BG Inforce myself. Smells terrible, makes anything move.

I tried alot of different combo concoctions but the acetone tranny oil makes sense the acetone penetrates good but dries real fast so the acetone absorbs into the corrosion or rust and pulls the oil in with it. I work on outboards alot cant wait to try on aluminum just make a bath for the part and let it soak with a lid anxious to try it
