I have a 2004 ext cab with the 6' styleside bed.

The bed really isn't in that bad of condition, but there are some rust holes and no bedliner, so I want to keep an eye out on CL for a flareside bed.

What beds are compatible?
Does it matter at all?

1993-2008 I think offered the flareside beds (A.K.A "Splash" on some models).

Before a certain year, they had two less bolts holding them down to the frame (6 bolts instead of 8). Not sure what year it was though (it was after 1998 they added the bolts, this I know). I don't think this would inhibit you swapping the beds though (just leave out those two bolts).
