well got her home tonight at about 630, everything works except the 4x4, but I can fix that easy, and rear window regulators. the interior sucks. stained up and stinky so I had to pull most of it tonight.

after things were removed.

Wow, it's really not bad for the money. You can't beat that combo either!

paid $1000, guy was askin $1500 but it needs ball joints so i talked him down. tons of mods planned but time is my enemy. i work a lot. probably start with a body lift, manual hub swap and a little interior work (bedlined) for now, get some miles on it and work out any engine/trans bugs. tcase motor is inop right now but i can rebuild them so im not worried. oh and i need an exhaust on this, so ill probably "create" one. its too quiet in its current state. and tires.

well plans thus far are to replace the ball joints, wheel bearings, and re-do some of the interior as that was the worst part of the whole truck. last night it got 3 coats of bedliner on the bare floors and i disassembled the top of the motor to change valve cover gaskets only to find the gaskets were fine and seal great but the valve covers had a few small rust holes which looked like they started on the inside. still trying to figure that one out. the rest of the head looks good, all rockers and shaft are straight and tight with no wear. truck came from original owner and came with 20 yrs worth of service reciepts. he also told me he never used the 4wd once and from the look of things i believe him.
this is going to be a slow project as im in the military and dont get tons of time off. plus i have kids. my son says this is going to be our "monster hunting truck" and wants to fill it with silver bullets, wooden stakes and garlic.....not to sure about him.
