the frame and crossmember are not bare steel, unless it was already rusted to begin with, which yes mine are, but I'm not contributing it to my exhaust. I couldn't have it exit in front of my rear tire because I have the muffler in the stock location, and it ends too far back to exit in front of the tire. Can't put it any farther forward because of my carrier bearing crossmember.the shocks are also painted, whereas the frame and crossmembers are bare steel.
dumping also increases the risk of trapping a "bubble" of CO2 under the body of the truck and allowing it to seep into the cab....nobody likes to be dead.
why not just buy a $3 90-degree bend and make it stick out before the rear tire?
