Hello.

I recently came across my ranger on the Houston craigslist posting.
it was a well loved and well used 95 dual spark 2.3 Ext cab that had been left to sit after the owner had bought another yet newer truck.

after looking at the truck and seeing what it needed, and what it offered, i was able to grab the truck for 1200.
bought a pair of stock 3 rib springs for the rear ( you'll understand with the picture )
A water pump, belt, battery, oil change and then drove it to the Inspection place, and it passed.
After that I had to go to the tax office ( DMV )
need less to say, the once tired and left to die ranger now happens to be my new daily driver. all for the price that fell short of 1600.

future plans, keep in mind this is my daily driver, Would be to make it a Prerunner, so if you happen to be selling parts, shot me a link.

now for pictures.

the spring.

And now for the truck.
A white Ext Cab, Short bed 2WD

You know your loving the blue interior. No thrills, all manual stuff here.
exept it does have cruse and tilt. :icon_confused:

Its even sporting a heavy duty bumper

yep you read right 111579, Thats just over two oil changes a year.

2.3L dual spark. :shok:

and a 5 speed to transfer that raw horse power to the axel.

Yea, I'm late to chiming in.

Cool that you got the actuators! I love getting gifts like that.

And those leafs gotta be switched out. I still think you got a good deal man. Hope you see you on Sunday.

Already took care of the leafs, took it down to a friends truck yard and borrowed the big green forklift.. :icon_thumby:
That awesome custom rear bumper became a lift point.
didn't take more then 30mins to change them out.
3 rib springs came out and 3 ribs went back in.
Is it me or does the truck sit low? it might be be sense this is my first 2wd truck, Ive always owned a 4wd truck.

Going to attempt the cluster install after work today.
Cleaned up the new to me cluster and corrected the OD to reflect my 111K
and maybe find out why that blasted dome light and door switch stays lit.

Good luck.

Regarding the dome light problem, that is easily fixed.

Step 1:Get a can of WD-40, and spray the locking mechanism / latch in the driver door )it's jamb mechanism that moves when you pull the door handle). Spray that like Hell.

Step 2: Open and close the door 10 times. Spray it again with WD-40, then open/close 10 more times. (This sounds ridiculous, but it works.)

It should have fixed the problem after that. You may also want to repeat this procedure for the passenger side as well. Lubrication is a problem with the locks.
