I have a new to me 99 ford ranger. I have 2 issues and I hope I’m posting this in the right subsection. My apologies if not!
First issue: Both my automatic door locks are not working. They don’t work when I hit the interior lock button or when attempting to use the key fob. An alarm sound goes off but the doors don’t lock. They do seem like they’re trying. From what I’ve read this seems like a lock actuator issue? If so, is it typical for both to go out at the same time?
Second: The key that I use to unlock my driver side door and use to turn the car on does NOT unlock the passenger side. I can’t think of why there would be different keys. Suggestions?
