i'm pretty anxious to work on it its too sad that i have to go to work before i can really do anything with it. fist order of buisness will be to correctly wire some misc item's he has on the truck. kinda pissed me off I pulled the cd player out to unhook all the wiring from the system he had in there and he cut the factory connectors off and just twist and taped the wire's together. so i will have to go thru and clean up all that wiring, and there is also 4 offroad lights across the bumper that he was wirid into a single switch. so the lights last about 5 mins before they blow the fuse. gonna wire them in like I allways do and also rewire my hi/lo beams to get better light as I allways do as well. I should prolly start a build thread for this thing tonight.

were not gettin side tracked again are we

well where my buddy works he got nailed on his first test for a weld the was 1/32nd too high, although it held up to the bend tests and passed the x-ray it was too tall. so as far as pretty weld when you do it for a living your welds tend to look as good as they are strong. he welds on everything from Light trucks To the some of the largest in the world
Nice picture. Ive driven this truck..This picture is from Caterpillars Tucson Proving Ground. I work there as an operator Technician.

you know you're driving a mans truck when you had to climb a ladder to get to the stairs to get to the cab to drive your truck.

Yes its true this truck is now fully engulfed in the process of robbing parts to build my new rig. it WILL wheel another day however. it is now kinda sitting back on ttb with a 31 spline 8.8
and by kinda i mean i wouldnt even tow it down the road it. rear perch's have to be welded ontop of the alxe (allready cut off) all the hardware in the front need's a good torq. it also needs driveshafts, shocks, brake lines, and a slew of other parts.

it will be sold off to further fund the new project but will be sold sittin on 31's with a little 4'' lift. 2 sets of front and rear bumpers, a headache rack, toolbox/toneau cover combo, highlift cutout and a bunch of other goodies. however i decided against leaving the winch, light, cb and other offroad goodies on it.

it will be a good fun truck for whoever buy's it and hope the next owner will have as much fun with it as i did. figure it should go quick around here prolly gonna ask 2000 for it.

Hey anyway you could get me detailed pics of the highlift bed mod you did as in how it mounts to the bed and whatnot. I want to do the samething but with a 60 inch one and want to know if you can get me pics of it before you get rid of the truck.

Make a thread elsewhere and you'll probably get better responses. Like your own build thread maybe?? Lol

Best bet is find a 4 wheel drive transmission(either auto or stick depends on what you have now) and a bw1354m transfer case.

x2 to what 4.0 said post in the 4wd section as far as question on drivetrain. BEST bet is to find a donor 4wd truck so you can jack up your license plate and pull a 4wd under it. hahaha J/K.

find a truck with the similar trans as yours (either M5OD manual or A4LDauto judging by year) and snag the trans and then find a manual transfercase outta a 3rd gen ranger or fist gen explorer. if you get the auto transfercase your gonna have to snag the 4wd computer and all the wiring and try to pin it into your existing harness (PITA). you could possiably make a 1350 t-case work for ya as well but that's for you to decide. the 1354m's are said to be HARD to find. i stumbled across mine before i really started looking and it was in a free donor vehicle. however my b-inlaw has been looking for the last 6 months and hasnt even found one localy
