93 frame+98 cab= steering shaft question

ok the the first 3 gen rangers use a steerin box the newer ones use a rack setup. the shaft i have off of the 98 is obviously too long, would swapping in an earlier shaft work or do i need to swap steering column out as well. the steering column looks like it points down too much because of how low the rack was.

just curious to see if anyone has done this swap and what you came up with

can someone get me a measurement on how long your 93-97 stearing shaft is?
