Hi i have a buddy looking at buying a 97 ranger with a 2.3 in it and im wondering if my stock 91 4x4 stx coils would go in his 97 and if so how much would it lift the front up. By the way the 91 was a 4.0. And i know this prolly aint the right spot to ask this but he wondering what kinda gas mileage it would get with 31s and that 2.3 guessing stock gears??

Thank You

Do you know what the stock gears are? Honestly I wouldn't even bother with 31s without changing the gears. The mileage would probably be terrible and it would be slow as hell.

look on the driver door sticker for axle code then go to tech library to see what the gear ratio is. If its 4.10 you might get by without gear change. :icon_thumby:

Believe it or not, I was getting a solid 14 mpg in town with 32s and a 2.3L 5 speed. I couldnt believe it myself.
