was planning on it latter before i get the alignment done. Trying to figure out the brake system now. Should be done with it by the end of next week and able to drive it then I hope.

Got shocks on order from Summit. ProComp 9000 series. Hope they are what I need. I hate not being able to look at what I am buying.

it only has the 2.3L and don't really plan on any rock crawling or anything. It will mainly be a daily driver and some off road use.

I started buying parts and researching what I wanted to do about a year ago. So when it came time to do the swap, I had an idea of what I was doing.

as far as what the dana 30 will handle. ive ridden it pretty hard and she's held up sofar im only runnin 33's but with the 4.0 and manual trans. you can get carried away with the throttle.

I plan on swapin in a dana 44 fullwidth next winter. the only thing gettin changed is the axle itself. not due to strength but due to aftermarket. and salvage parts (3 onhand allready)

BTW im not a rock crawler or mud bogger. jut like to hit trails from begining to end

Almost done with the swap. Here is a pic of it after i moved it out of the garage to clean the floor and get the lawnmower out to start mowing for the year.
I have to bleed the brakes, order rear shocks, tighten up misc bolts, put the bed back on and align the toe and trackbar.
Had some issues with installing the 63" leafs. Had to replace the leaf bushings and ordered them from Rockauto.com. Got them for $4.26 for a box of 2. My front driveshaft wont work. I will have to make one myself or something.

Will be driving it soon. Can't wait.:headbang:

Drove the truck around the addition. Needs rear shocks still but I was surprised that it drove very nice with the toe being way off still. Shocks should be here tomorrow. I got Rancho's for the rear. Here some more finished pics.

Don't have a front driveshaft yet. I might have to go look around at the junk yards.

Should be driving it on the roads after i get the shocks in.

Took it for a drive today. Handles great. It has a little bump steer but i think it's from the toe being off a little. I also have a caliper that is sticking badly that will need to be replaced. Started tear down on March 22nd, driving it in just 4 weeks.

Going to get some paint on it soon so its all one color.

Now the front pinion seal is leaking. Great.
Had a few bolts that worked their way loose, no biggie. I used lock washers on the link bracket. I think i will replace them with nylon lock nuts.

Well kind of. I have a different transfer case coming that has a fixed front yoke instead of the slip yoke on the 1350. Once I get that, I have an Exploder front shaft lined up if the length is right.

I just left the factory crossmember in place for now. Later I want to swap trans and might look into custom fabricating one. I will post a pic of that area soon.

I have been driving it about 500 mi. and just changed the front pinion seal and oil. The seal needed replaced cause for some reason the one I got with the overhaul kit was different than the original. I thought it would work but:annoyed:. I need a new steering stabilizer badly. The OEM is just not cutting it with the 35's.

Here is a pic of the link brackets and the trans crossmember. The crossmember is the between the frame type out of a 84 B2. I used this one because the trans and case came out of the B2.
