My sister is looking at a 1997 Ranger with a 2.3, 2wd, and a 4R44E automatic transmission. The trans seems to work ok when you go from park to reverse, or from drive to reverse. But when you go from park to drive, or reverse to drive it shifts really harsh (it will spin the tires some on gravel, or chirp them on concrete), other than that the transmission seems to work fine (no warning lights). All the 4R44E harsh shift problems I've found searching here, and other forums have been harsh shifting when shifting into reverse, or in between forward gears (like 1st to 2nd), but not from park to drive, or reverse to drive :icon_confused:

How I wish my sister would just learn to drive with manual transmissions.
