I wish I could find a old early 70's Honda cycle.

:icon_rofl: I probably do.

I need to find a cure for my A.D.D. I'll work on a project for a while, get bored and start something else. Then when I get tired of that, I'll go back to the last project. And so on, and so on.

Love the Honda. I've got a '75 750 torn down and building into a cafe racer. Should be cool.

Love the paint scheme. And the bezels are nicely done. Just read your build all the way through.

There's plenty of build threads I never have the time to read anymore. :annoyed:

That is a great bike.

My very first motorcycle was also a 1981 Honda CM400T just like yours but it had the red paintjob and highway bars. To this day it's still my favorite bike and I wish I still had it. Might buy another one if I can find one around.

Nope... Somethings have changed in my life, so this is on the back burner for now.

I accepted a new job and start in a few weeks... I've got 15 years of accumulated stuff to move out by Dec 9th. (anybody need parts?)
My new job will save me over 10K miles a year, so this may turn into more of a toy then a DD. (think compound boost)
I bought a new quad and that ate up a lot of my spare cash.

You can PM me, but for the benefit of anyone else who may do the swap they may be better asked here.

Good point already got a couple questions. 1 when I get the motor anything I should change before I put it in. 2 there is a guy in Ohio i think sells them already with tranny. I realize that it's a 2wd tranny what about just dropping that in with the 7.5 rear as 2wd until i find a 250 with axles and tranny and t case to use. And 3 I realize extra weight means having to modify the suspension should i just run like 2inch lift coils up front to even it out or is there a better route?

I put about 5000 miles or so on the stock 7.5 and that was beating it/ hauling a 800 pound engine 500 miles with it doing 70-80 most of the way. As long as your not beefing it up more than just pump mods it will be ok for short time. I bought mine from Ohio.
