ok, I dont post much but here goes.
I have a 1996 single cab ranger. 3.0 5 spd.
threat motorsports 5 over extended beams on 32's.
stock gears in the rear makes for a long drive.
I have a 9" rear end waiting to go in along with my 3 link thats being built.
my problem is my motor is tired and needs to be replaced. I want to put a 4.0 in but im not sure of a few things.
will a 4.0 bolt up to my trans, motor mounts?
what about powersteering and everything else?
what would all need to be changed to fit a 4.0 in? and where can I pick up a crate motor fairly cheap?
I have a 1990 5.0 HO and trans, wiring harness and ecu I was swap in but I need it smog legal.
