4.0, 5-speed?

Here's a dumb question for you Ranger guru's....Did they make any Rangers with a 4.0 and a manual transmission? I can't seem to find any around here!

Thanks guys....I was beginning to think they never made that combo. It seems every straight shift I find is a 3.0. Oh well, guess I'll keep looking!

ive found more manuals than autos, exploders are just the opposite, while ive seen a manual in a exploder, most have been the slushbox.

My grandfather has a 1993 4.0 5 speed 2wd extended cab, totally mint.

Well don't bother looking for a 1990 Ranger with a 4.0 and a 5sp.
Because they only made a handful and ALL of those were "non certified"
manufacturer's prototypes.

1991 was the first year that the 4.0 was offered with a 5sp trans.

And yes, they made 5sp explorers too.

i will sell you my '97 4.0 5-speed 4wd.....granted it wasn't a stock 5-speed, but it is 100% a stock 5-speed swap...

4.0sohc 5spd manual 4x4here, there are alot more 4.0 autos...i was lookin for 3months until i found mine, and to tell you the truth it was well worth the wait, chripin 3rd always puts a smile on my face haha

I own a 93 ranger xlt 4x4 with 4.0 v6 and 5sp trans. extra cab just dropped a new engine in her since i threw a rod right threw my block

did you install a 4.0 SOHC, or did you go back to the 4.0 OHV? If you put in a 4.0 SOHC, can you post up some pictures?
