Jus throwing this out there. Put 33x12.5x15 on my 2003 b4000 and can feel it lagging . I think I'll try 33/10.5/15 nex go round. Later Paka

Of course it does, did you think it wouldn't?

33x10.5 won't be noticeably better BTW.

Regear, or go to a smaller tire if you can't hang with the power loss.

I regeared my axles when I went 33's and that was the best mod I ever did...I get 16-19mpg too.

Yup , took it in the sand today and aired down to 20 psi. Not fun. Really worried I was gonna get stuck . I have the stock 4.10 gearing and thought Ill ever have the cash to regear . My 265/75/16 are back on and so is my power . They're bf m/t and are great all the way around. So if 33/10.5 aren't much better , what about 32/11.5/15 .would that be pretty close to the 265's??? Jus a little taller and wider rite? Lmk what u all would do. I like the clearance from ground but need the power in the sand . Thanks all

20psi is still pretty high, try like 15. I've heard a lot of places require you to go down to a max of 15psi.

My personal experience: the first time i went on the beach i ran 18psi and it worked fine but i was getting in the pedal quite a bit and flinging sand to get going from a stop. All subsequent times i've run at 15psi and it is so much better, no tire spinning unless you want to, truck floats alot better rather than sinking. By the way i have 31x10.5's

I know this is a tire question not a 'tire pressure when in the sand question' but i wouldn't base anything off the performance of your truck in the sand at 20psi, go lower and you'll be happier.
