I just had the tailgate dampener installed using my Fordpass points. It is nice now not slamming down when you open it.

"220, 221, whatever it takes."
Once you go damper, you'll never go back.
Seriously though, I've had tailgate cables snap on other trucks I've owned after a few years.

My credo
Its probably better to be self deprecating than self defecating.
Damper ALMOST rhymes with manpurse if you've drank enough. I don't believe that's a coincidence.

I didn't ask for your life story, just answer the question!

Damper also rhymes with “watch it, we don’t allow comments like that”.

Of all the comments that get made on here, that's the one that's deemed unacceptable? It's a joke.

My bad rangerfan, it was just a friendly ribbing. Don't mind me.

Funny you mention FordPass points, they just sent me an email... I currently have 0 points....

I don't just let my tailgate drop. That prevents the snapping issue. ;)

I may eventually get one but it's not high on the list. Now an aluminum transmission pan with a drain, that's pretty much at the top.

I probably wouldn't have gotten one if it wasn't free using the Ford Pass points, however it is nice.
