This is what I started with.

Engine being mocked up, used the driver side location for the motor mounts had to drill a hole on passenger side for the stud to go through

Painted the firewall and under side of the cab with rustoleum black from Lowe's

The parts I have collected for this build have came from 5 different trucks I had to slap it together just to see.

I have a question on suspension for whoever knows. I plan on using the Explorer rearend with the ranger springs and shackles, how much do I need to chop off of the front springs to level out the truck or maybe even slightly lower than the back. I read on Jbrowns thread to achieve a 2 inch drop cut the spring at the 4:00 position but I am not sure if that will be enough to level the truck. I am getting close to being ready to reassemble the front end. Thanks for the help.

I'm a little concerned about how high the front is still sitting with dang near all the front weight back on it, I cut half a coil off the springs

Does anyone have a schematic on the wire cluster going to the rear or the ranger and one for the 97 Explorer I need to cut and splice in the pigtail for the abs sensor fuel tank brake lights etc. The plug that goes to the bottom of the cab is what I'm talking about

Why mess with the Expo systems for the back of the Ranger? The '97 Expo includes a vehicle speed sensor at the back of the transmission that will happily keep the PCM, speedo and cruise control systems happy, the 02 Ranger ABS only cares about keeping all three sensors at the same approx speed.

Only wiring change not under the hood with your '97/'02 mix should be the ground for the tach behind the instrument cluster.

I swapped everything from the Explorer the dash wiring Guage cluster and I still need power to the fuel pump and brake lights turn signals

Ok i bought a 2001 xlt extended cab donor truck to get the last few things I needed for my build it has power windows and locks with working keyless entry I want to swap it all over to my project I am using the entire 97 v8 Explorer harness already how difficult will this be to accomplish? Thanks for all the help and support so far I see lots of views I would love to hear from more people. Here is a pic of my project almost finished the mock up stage might go ahead and leave it all together and paint it
