I recently purchased a 2001 2WD Ranger and in the near future I want to put a slight lift/leveling kit on it. A good friend of mine gave me a set of 17X8 OEM 96 Cobra Wheels that I would install at the same time. I was thinking a 1.5-2" front kit and a 1" rear block. The stock tire size is 225/70R15 = 27.40X8.86. I was thinking of going with a 235/60R17 = 28.10X9.25 so the tire would only be around 3/4" taller. I doubt I even would need lift/level it but I figure it would look much better sitting up a little more.
So with that being said. Who makes a 1.5-2" spring, doesn't anything else need to be changed like UCAs, Etc? Are spacers made that would do the same thing? I saw one another forum the talk of coilovers, does someone make a conversion kit? I have adjustable coilovers on my F150 and love them.
Last but not least, what lugs are needed to install the Cobra wheels and will spacers be required?
Thanks! Wayne
