2000 Ranger 2wd 3.0 ONLY GETTING 12 MPG

I have a 2000 Ranger 2wd. 3.0 v6, and it is only getting 12-14mpg !! any ideas ?? thanks

i have lots of ideas.

tire pressure, air filter, fuel filter, vacuum leaks, spark plugs and wires, hanging brakes, bad driving....to list a few.
