I'm looking for a 98+ 4x4 extended cab truck, preferably with a manual trans and 8.8 rear axle. I'd like to find a complete roller with a dead engine/trans/T-case. I will be making a post about the project here and possibly on youtube. Seller can remain anon on any social media platforms I post on.

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
Not sure where you are in SC. I have been seeing some decent Rangers on FB marketplace lately. My search primarily brings results from the upstate but also the midlands, up toward Charlotte, NC and down into GA. I haven't made particular note if model years, since I'm not really in the market.

I'm between Greenville and Spartanburg.

I watch there. A lot of them are over priced and misrepresented. Some are complete rust wrecks underneath that have been washed and polished.
