Went to Gulches ORV Park today. Had a good time. Actually did more tough trails than I expected. On one, I hit the side wall of a ravine and burped most of the air out of my right front tire. Later noticed the tire low, probably less than 3 psi and turned on my air compressor so it could air up on the way to the next tough trail. However, in between here and there, I landed hard in a hole and heard the remaining air leak back into nature. So I found a parking place nearby and started getting ready to put the spare on. But somebody said "have you tried to air it up?" Dang it. No. I just assumed it was off the bead. We hooked up the compressor to it and it took air. Leaked where some dirt had gotten between the bead and the rim. But it took air. Drove a challenging trail out of there.
A while later, it was empty again. Tried to air up and it was leaking almost as fast as I could fill it. Finally got about 5psi in it and drove around at moderate speed hitting bumps, hoping it would spit the dirt out. Aired up again and it stayed.i think it's still aired up sitting on the trailer right now.
I'll take luck over skill any time it happens.
