Hi everyone, I live in eastern Iowa and am soon going to be installing a 4.0l out of a 1992 Ranger with @100k into my 1986 Bronco 2 that currently has a 2.9l with @ 140k that developed a bad rod knock. It has the infamous a4ld auto trans that has @ 3k on a complete rebuild. I already have a 94 Explorer for a donor and plan on doing an axle swap sometime this summer or fall. This site has been really helpfull since I'm trying to gather as much info as I can for all of the things I plan on doing to the B2 in the future. I figure between the 92 Ranger engine and wiring harness and all of the parts I plan on taking off of the 94 Explorer I can get the B2 going in the month or so. I'm sure that I'll be on the forums page quite a bit since it is going to be a bit of a job doing this all by myself basically. Swapping the motors doesn't seem too hard as long as I can figure out the wiring issues. I really like my little Bronco and it is in pretty good shape, but it always did seem a little underpowered when it was running. It has been sitting for about a year and a half since it crapped out on me on the way to work one morning. I'm really looking forward to getting it running again with a new motor with more horsepower and torque. It should be a fun little rig. I'm basically going to be using it for a daily driver and weekend trail/ hunting vehicle. Plus it will be nice having a 4x4 for these Iowa winters. I'm trying to figure out how to post some pitures of the B2 but haven't quite got it figured out yet, when I do I'll show them.
