Some pics (I hope) of my 85 Toyota FJ60 we use to run around the mountains.

Near the summit of Stony Face Mtn west of Canon City CO.

Near Black MTN NW of Canon City CO. Snowy peak in the background is Pikes Peak.

Man that;s awesome. Very cool truck! I went to Pikes Peak once with my folks but we were headed for Canada and didn't go up it, was in a little Kharman Ghia, it was loaded down and pulling a trailer

That thing looks to be in great condition. It’s sad how fast they rusted out in that era.

I’m kinda jealous. Especially if you didn’t have to pay the collector’s price tag most want to charge.

Well, that FJ60 has the normal rocker panel and wheel edge rust. Beyound that it has a boxed frame. After I bought I spent 20 minutes on each side flushing water thru the frame rails. The sludge that came out was red. One of the PO's took it to Moab - I have a video of it. Anyway both rails were full of red sand and mud.

Anyway, Micah Black of Classic Cruisers in (now) Pagosa Springs CO cut out the frame rust and added scab plates to the frame.

The wife can sew. I installed a set of 1/8" wires all around the interior of the FJ60. She made curtains using painters canvas drop cloths. We can both sleep in the back. No more tent camping, No more bear, rattlesnake or scorpion worry.
