Is this the adapter i need??

P/N 50-4502 - Ford 4WD tranny 31 spline to Borg Warner 1350 T/C. Adapter length of 4".

i got that from here

http://advanceadapters.com/product/1714/50-4502.html

it says C4 on the AA website but does say it for a 5 speed late model F150 trans. i want to make sure its for the m50dr2 and not the ZF trans

I'm in the process or gathering parts for my 5.0/M50DR2 swap in my 94 ranger. I'm just figuring out the speedo cable and Tcase. I would like to keep my stock tcase since the speedo just plugs right it, also easy to just shorten/lengthen the drive shafts. I have looked at the 4406 tcase also, but am not sure how i would hook up the speedo cable, since i believe it has VSS. I'm looking at getting the trans out of a 97' and up v6 f150 if that matters.

thanks guys
mike

That adapter should work for the 4x4 M5ODR2 which is 31 spline output with a standard 6-bolt F/S flange pattern.

The BW4406 from the 97~98 (only) F150 has provisions for a gear driven signal generator for the speedometer, similar to the 95~97 Ranger. There is a small chance that the 94 Ranger cable will plug into the same drive gear and port - worth checking into anyway because a decent 4406 can often be purchased for way less than the cost of the AA adapter. (Definitely stay away from the 99-up 4406 for this 94 Ranger app because it has the newer VSS sensor that is not gear driven.)
