My credo
Fortune Favors the Brave
first welcome to TRS
and dont worry Ranger engines a re pretty reliable
i can bet it would pass the 200k mark with no problem
a tune up and a general mechanical inspection would be good for it

I used to drive a 2.3 Ranger at work. It had over 230k miles, and it was beaten on and given poor maintenance its entire life, and it still ran like it was brand new. It is still going and probably has over 260k on it by now. I'm a big fan of the newer 4 cylinder engines. I would've bought one if they were available in 4wd.

I can post a pic of my current odometer... last one gave out at 315,000 miles and I no longer have it around.

92 ranger here. 2.3 has over way over 200,000 on it. Transmission (5-speed) started whining so I parked it about 3 years ago. Filled the tank with gas and just started it occasionally.
Started driving it a month ago, it runs like the past 3 years never happened. With the old gas! 75 mph is just cruising to it, plenty of power beyond that.
(As I type this, I tap on wooden desk every few words! lol)

f7694 what kind of transmission does your truck have? If it's a 5 speed you should spend some time in the transmission forum. Lots of good info there!
A very good mechanic once told me the 2.3 and 5 speed was bullet proof as long as the motor didn't run hot and the trans had fluid in it.

I have an '03 with the 2.3 / 5 sp. I bought it 2 1/2 years ago with only 10K miles on it. It was a lease return and had been sitting on the Ford lot for 18 months. In the last 30 months I've put 91K miles on it (totalling 101K) because I drive a 140 mile/day commute. The thing started at 32mpg and still gets it day in and day out. I've only had one repair to the entire truck which was the thermostat/temp sensor unit. Obviously this is all highway mileage with some towing and hauling thrown in, but it doesn't miss a beat.

Make sure all the maintenance is done on it and it should do you fine.
