It uses centrifugal force to balance the tire. They have these bags of what ever this material is and they have different weights to them per tire size.
Which reminds me. PO of my F350 actually did have the tires filled with something sand-like. Haven't had them changed yet, but why would there be something like sand in my tires??
Well first you throw the bag in the tire and then you mount and put it back on the truck. then drive it up to like 60mph with the wheel trying to rip out of your hands yanking and jerking, a list of every part that could be failing is running through your head, like truck is literally being ripped apart at the molecular level!!!!!......
