Haven't been on the ranger in a while. Right as we were moving my cousin passed away, then shortly after my mom got pneumonia and was in bad shape for a while. Things are getting better, they're still doing some work to the house. Here's a few more shots of the place

Picked this up with my tax return to have at the house

I bought a welder last year with my tax return. Wish I had a 220v outlet.

Make a cord that runs from your dryer outlet, that's how I run mine.

That's my only 220v. Great idea but I don't want to move my dryer everytime I want to weld plus my dryer vent is mainly ridged in design by me.

Yeah I was looking at a 220 thinking about the dryer thing. Except our dryer is 2nd floor right in the middle of the house haha. Anyways I figured a 120v is super convenient and I still have access to a 220v at the shop when I need something bigger. We love it out here, so peaceful and quiet! Landlady is still doing upgrades and repairs so that often tests my patience, but once she's gone it's gonna be perfect lol. And 100% right ford78, gotta keep the ladies happy! haha

Messed with the ranger a little yesterday. Reamed out the holes a little on my wristed arm so it'll move a little more free and so the pin would fit smoothly. Pulled the radius arks from the mounts to remove the bushings so I could plug weld the radius arm mounts bolt holes. Previously just the outline was welded. And finished up the best I could figure with my trac bar mount. The way my coil buckets and dip in the driver side frame made it kinda difficult to do a whole lot with. It's not pretty but I hope it'll hold. Or I can improve on it later.

I put the tan bed on when I cared about the body. Anyways the matching bed will be coming back too. Eventually bobbed and dovetailed some

My truck still sits quietly in my garage with a broken front axle shaft.

Long story short as to why, a contracted temporary person got everybody wrote up causing me and everybody who is full time to get screwed out of their quarterly bonus check.

I need to get gas for mine, I can burn the welds so much hotter then flux will allow me to do.

You can weld thicker material with flux core then you can with gas

When I welded with gas with my dad's 120v (I have an identical one) I could control where the metal bead would fall better for the welds plus I could actually get the metal to hot enough (turn purple and blue) around the welded.

Thats flux core. Alot has to do with wire thickness as well. Thats .035

Mine wants to spatter on me...suggestions? I prep my surfaces correctly and even grind down edges so that the weld can get in better.

Is your polarity reversed for flux core?
