Thanks guys. Finally had a chance to do a bunch of driving this weekend to get a good read on fuel economy with the Gearvendor. without towing. Averaged 15.6 MPG with 75% 70mph highway driving and 25% around town and some city with stop and go. Definitely pleased with the results.

I've got a 2wd supercab with a 3.55:1 sterling out back and pull off 22mpg mixed driving. I figured the gearvendors unit would compensate for the extra gearing and weight you have on me.

Update.

I am now running a 50% diesel, 7.5%RUG, 42.5% WMO fuel blend. just over 8000 miles so far with no real problems.

Near the beginning of the experiment I put the truck on a dyno, 4 pulls.
Pull 1, On WMO blend. 173.34 hp/326.42 ftlbs
Pull 2, On WMO blend. 174.81 hp/333.46 ftlbs
Ran it for about 5 minutes to flush the fuel system after switching tanks.
Pull 3 on Pump Diesel. 173.11 hp/320.03 ftlbs
Pull 4 on Pump Diesel. 170.28 hp /319.07 ftlbs

This video is of one of the pulls on pump diesel. It blew more smoke on the WMO blend at higher rpms. I suspect the WMO has higher BTU content but does not burn quite as fast so I get more smoke because combustion does not complete or scavange as much before the exhaust valve opens...... I am just guessing though.... Any pirate feedback on that thought?

The only modification to my truck was the installation of an additional fuel filter. The biggest one I could find that fit a filter head I already had. The filter is a Cat 1R-0755. Its FAWKING HUGE! Physical capacity of the filter is 1.2 GALLONS!

And then I built a filtering setup. I collect the oil in the stainless tank and bring it home. I put gas in that tank so it mixes when I collect the oil. Then it gets pumped off into that big blue tank to let shit settle out. Then I wait as long I can before sending it up to the bag filters and down to the black drum where it waits to be put in my truck.

My average cost per gallon is around 2.00-2.20/gallon.

And this summer I built a crane too. I had an old engine hoist laying around so I got creative with a D44 hub and some plate and the welder and built this.

Moving around the spare motor I bought incase something goes horribly wrong with my waste oil experiment. That is a complete 7.3 PS motor minus turbo and accessories.

I didnt. I punched through the bed floor and went to the frame. It rotates on a modified D44 hub and spindle.

I just realized I missed pictures of the bracket I built on the frame. Well it weighs about 25lbs and is all 3/8 plate because thats what I had haha.
