The good news is nobody is trying to sell you a Toyota or pushing you to purchase one! But your argument stands invalid because your claim states "Toyota has serious recalls" when the same can be said about Ford (or any other company, except honda probably lol). I love my Ranger, too. The Toyotas generally have more aftermarket support for off-road, make more power than my truck, pull in mpgs yet I still bought a Ranger. Why? I'm an opportunistic, I bought my Ranger because it was cheaper and most of the "specialty" tools I already have because I've owned fords before.Well. Here in western Oregon it is a pretty well know fact. And all i was trying to get accross by my citations was that Toyota did indeed have a ton of recalls. Vehicles shouldn't have flaws like an accelerator peddle that sticks to the ground, neither should they burn to the ground when you use the cruise control. I understand that but hey, ford had a recall on those as well ;-) I love my b4000 its a great truck. I wouldn't have a taco, or a toyota ever. End of story. Sorry
Hell, look at the new 2011 Explorer. The transmission is turning into a disaster! There have been a lot of reports of these transmissions failing after 1000 miles! This is why I will never buy a vehicle that was "first" in its model year... reguardless of manufacturer. (This is what has stopped me from trading in my truck for an Ecoboost).
