Wtf is this sensor??

from experience it has to be the intake.... i had a really bad leak there so i did my top end and the duraspark swap. has not leaked since. (knock on wood)

well i did the valve cover gaskets yesterday and its still got a leak, its comming from the back of the motor close to where it meets the bellhousing, its running down the top of the bellhousing and running down to where the bellhousing meets the tranny, then dripping down. could it be the intake manifold gasket? i wonder if this would work http://broncoii.org/forum/index.php?topic=1960.0

You can try cleaning the area good with some sort of solvent. I have read you can clean it real good blasting it with air and squishing some rtv or permatex in the crack between the engine heads and manifold If you get enough inside it will make a plug that wont push out from blowby. Also it could be the dizzy o-ring. If it leaking out the back of the intake manifold it probably is doing the same on the front. I packed the valleys real good with permatex when I put my manifold back on. Changing the breather filter will help to keep the crankcase form building up pressure and changing the PCV regularly a must. Just because it rattles dont mean diddly.

i'd like to not have to take the valve covers off if i can help it...it might be the o-ring for the disty, i was feeling around, and i got some fresh oil on my fingers from around that area...but also could be the mani. i guess when i duraspark and put a new disty in ill fix it

Yea while you have the dizzy out clean the areabetween the intake and block good and force some permatex into the valleys with your finger like you wold caulk a window it cant hurt to try.

cool...picked up my duraspark module and disty cap today...hope i got the right cap, dont have the part number with me but it looks like my stock cap, not the one with portruding nipple on it. is that the right one?

so whichones do i get from advance?

Did you read thru the other thread i gave you he has some part numbers that can probably cross referenced. Also has pics of what you are looking for the adaptor screws on the dizzy and the cap snaps on the adaptor and the rotor is wedge shaped.
