Would 1998 - 2011 Seats work in a 1996 Single Cab?

I have 2.3L single cab 1996. My seats are pretty bad, and want to replace them without breaking the bank.
I’ve seen a few decent seats on marketplace near me, but they are all for 1998-2011 rangers.

im wondering if I can just throw them in, or would that require welding them in

IIRC, the bolt pattern changed on the sliders in 98 and the sliders are fixed the lower seat frame in 98...
