wont this skrew something up?

He might get a ticket....

ah, my friend told me i could do internal damage if i did it to mine. i dont plan on it.

Probably stand a chance of messing up a valve.

I ran mine with no exhasut....well just no muffler for about a month. Til the motor blew up (wasn't an exhaust related issue) All I can say is it was obnoxiously loud. Set off car alarms galore at the mall though haha.

There really is no point in it. I just did it for giggles. Truck had no gears and was slow anyways and taking away the muffler and nearly all back pressure...oh good lord. Talk about a slug hahaha

Ran my truck without a muffler for a day or so cause the stupid muffler fell off

made my 2.9 sound bad ass

Just add a waste gate after the cat. Then you can switch between loud to silent and back to loud again with just a lever.

Its not a good idea to run no exhuast. You need at least some back-pressure to keep the low-end torque.

I ran no muffler on my old Blazer for about a week while waiting for the new cat-back system to come in. Obnoxious at cruising speed, the sound just resonated through the cab so loud you couldn't hear the radio. It's not really bad for a short time but the loss of backpressure will definitely show some low-end torque problems.

I drove over a snow bank and it pulled my exaust apart where it bolts together after the cats. That was a loud ride home. I pulled it together with a ratchet strap. That was 4 months ago.

It wont hurt anything, I ran just a single cat when my old glasspack fell off, seriously louder than my friends 78 F250 with a 460 with a straight pipe (no cats) exiting right under the floor boards.

The only way it would burn a valve would be to run it strait outta the head. But still probly wouldnt hurt it. It may not even run without a manifold or header on it.

Ladies and Gentlemen for your listening pleasure... if only rangers sounded this sweet

I found that a couple days ago, really awsome sound:icon_surprised:!

that ranger sounds like my 88 Mitsubishi "Mirgy" Ice Racer when I cut the cat off.

And No if you leave the cat on you will be fine... as far as your engine goes but the fuzz might think differently.

I drove around a 302 mustang that ran just header for about a week after the tranny went out in my honda. That was loud. Car ran fine, however.
