My credo
Low range in Nova Scotia on YouTube!
Need a windshield for my 91 (the donkey) and rangers are getting limited in my area. What other years are comparable?
I called speedy glass and he “thinks” 90-97 are the same and 98 they changed, is this right?
There are a couple of 94-96’s in the junkyard but before I buy one I want to make sure it fits.

Thanks!

I want to say Rangers 83-92, Bronco IIs 83-90 and first gen Explorers all share the same windshield. Not sure beyond that

Crap, just looked at the picture I took of a 96 (he said it was) and after comparing to google, it looks like a 04-05 etc

Yup, want to say the 93+ Rangers all had different glass than the older stuff

Pretty sure first gen explorers are different too, so you'd be stuck to '83-92 Ranger or Bronco II

Well, if I can’t find windows I’m going to have to change the cab then.
That sucks as I’ll have to cut the exoskeleton to get the cab off.... crap.

thanks for the info guys.

Have to replace this with something.

I got lucky and had a competent tech from Safelight. He did a great job with no debris from the old windshield.

Cheapest quote around here is $375 and it will take a week or more to come from Montreal.
This is a mud truck that’s been rolled twice...it’s not getting a new windshield! Lol!
Bad enough paying $100 for one from a junkyard. I’m going on marketplace next, see if I can get anything there.

I keep forgetting you have to pay for your windshield replacements.

We get them free in Florida.

if it is a mud truck, I am assuming limited road use... what about plexiglass and make one yourself? the downside would be it would scratch easily..

other than that, travel to a more distant junkyard. at that point you might be about the same money as the 375 by the time you spend money on gas/ windshield/ window seal and putting it in...
