Hey guys, it seems my 2000 ranger 3.0 manual 4wd xlt has finally been stopped. It has 220,000 miles and will fail inspection this month. The frame has cracked below my drivers side rear door. I would like the project of plating and welding the frame however, I cannot commit that much time right now. I have many new or lightly used parts on this truck right now. Tires, brakes, steering components, suspension are all in new condition. Needless to say I was not aware of the crack in my frame when I bought new tires. So for my question... I am thinking of getting a newer 2.3 manual 2wd ranger. For what I use my vehicle for this would suit me better than a 4wd model. Will any of these parts transfer over? I know if I got one with the 3.0 it would be even better however I like the 2.3 motor. I also know the 2wd will be without torsion bars. I think that the tires could fit or are within range of fitting 235-75-15, back brakes, shocks, steering could also fit. Front brakes I believe will not match. Motors would not match. However I would think that lots of body and trim parts from exterior and interior could match if needed. Let me know what you guys think. Any info would be helpful for I will be looking for a new vehicle by the end of this month. Thanks Cian
