OLD XJ is the same as Rangers. 80s, early 90s squared off Cherokees. They are the preferred rear axle donor for 1948-60 Dodge 1/2 tons. Rangers are the preferred donor for same era Dodge/Plymouth -cars- due to the track width differences. Why? The stock 5x4.5 1940s wheels bolt right on to either donor axle… I’ll try to grab a pic later of a stock 1949 1/2t wheel with 6.00-16 bias ply tire on the 94 Ranger.
