Wife + Bii = Conflict

this works for me ........a night at the bar (built her her own in the corner of the living room) some rum and coke...few shots of 1800 .....:sexe:

:yahoo:

None of these answers are gonna work, she's a woman and if she dosnt understand now she'll never get it and constantly complane, your best bet is to avoid talking about the BII and buy her somthing nice.

My Mrs. knew about my love a vehicles since we were in high school, she had no suprise there. She doesn't complain anymore about them, like BossMan I have either made money or broke even with them. Any other time she complained, my answer was the only reason I know how to fix all her junk is because I had to learn to fix mine first. If it wasn't for the vehicles I rebuilt I wouldn't know how to work on them and her piece of garbage jeep would always be in the garage.

Mileage as an argument for a Bronco II with a 2.8L.... that's like claiming it will get an HOV lane exemption....

BS. You can beat a 2.8L-powered Bronco II with a 1976 Datsun B210. Even with the stupid-ass carburetor. You'll beat it with your superduty....

If you treat your SO like an idiot, don't expect the conflicts to go away. Your SO is part of your life now; sell her on it (TRUTHFULLY) or get a different project vehicle she can buy into. Bronco IIs are fairly capable vehicles, especially due to the very short wheelbase and the not-too-out-of-hand weight. No one has mentioned that....

But any argument you can make for a Bronco II is also going to hold for its competition -- older Jeep Cherokees. More so for Wranglers, CJs, etc (light, short wheelbase 4WDs with much more aftermarket).

But there really is no reason at all to buy a carbureted Bronco II. The early fuel injected versions work a lot better.

IMO, I think this is a battle you will not win. You must really like them to put $800 in a $800 B2. :)

Who knows though honestly...

If you can afford to put money into an '85 B2, why not? I'd bored as shit without any hobbies. Tell her you'll take up a much more expensive hobby in a less direct matter?
