Why doesn't every truck have these?

My guess is expense. Car manufacturers try to make vehicles as cheaply as possible with the most amount of profit. If there is enough demand, they would probably do it but the bottom line is the main rule of business.

Then why does a new ram 3500 cost 90 grand.... :icon_rofl:

Dodge, once again, seems to be winning in this area. They were making the Ram Boxes as an option in the bedsides of newer Rams. I swear, Dodge does ALL of the coolest stuff in the auto world these days..

Huge supercharged engines and they're stuffing them in to anything they can. The Hellcat, Charger, Dart, Challenger, Durango 392 hemi, Hellcat SRT, Durango SRT, Ram Rebel, and now the Jeep scene is even seeing Hellcrates being used in concepts. Solid axle rigs. Bedside toolboxes. A split tailgate that's very unique. Trucks with factory winches and actual useful recovery points. Their towing line-up is unmatched and has been the go-to for industry for ages. The new Jeep J6 concept would sell like hotcakes if they built it for the public. If they do I'll abandon Ford Rangers other than my little hotrod 87.

Active air-suspension with auto-leveling..

Heated front seats and steering wheel..

Dodge/Jeep just seems to build much more of the stuff that customers want. They're not afraid to stretch the limits and think outside the box. Ford just seems like the bean-counters or project managers has everyone by the balls. The result is nothing cool that customers actually want gets built.

A lot of the older trucks that had side toolboxes built-in to the bed, they became rust buckets very quickly. Those boxes were great places for dirt and water to collect.

dam. @Bird76Mojo beat me to it.

They are still an unreliable pile of Chrysler garbage...

I've got more than one friend with a Dodge Ram and they've got well over 300,000 miles on them.. They seem no worse than any other manufacturer..

Where do hermit crabs poop?

"NOTE: Water stored in the shell ("shell water") helps to keep the crab moist. It may contain feces, but does not contain urine. Hermit crab urine is eliminated via glands at the base of the antennae, near the eyes."

One hermit crab says to the other,
"Oh, jeez, Bob. Are you crying or peeing?"

I would sell my house for a J6

I would sell my house for a J6
That's probably about what it would cost.

I don't get how or why people pay what they do for vehicles. The last one I bought new for me was $12k - I drove it for 12 years and still would be except too many old ladies with cataracts glasses ran into it.

If they build it, I WILL have a J6. It shouldn't cost any significant amount more than a new Ranger, and would be much more capable and durable. Right off the showroom floor.

what is a J6???
