Who rides motorcycles, and what do you have?

:annoyed:

What posessed you to buy that at 17 years old, and who pays for it and the insurance?

Want my guess? It involves some deception.

Had lots of bikes but I'm taking a break from sport bikes so this is my current:

and my wife rides a black '08 Ninja 250 (no pics handy right now)

actually i weigh 155. the 9.3s pass was my buddys dad on my bike who drags. i bought it because i been racing motocross since i was 6 and actually have sense on a bike. i pay for my insurance and the bike with social security money i get from losing my mom when i was 3.

Timeslips or bullshit.

nice KTM. I know that Id get in trouble for riding where I shouldnt with that thing.

F you guys, all this talk of riding and i've got ice everywhere.

don't worry, it's not just you. The ice/snow is mostly gone now but it's still wet during the day and refreezes overnight. And even if it was dry I'm not man enough to ride to work when it's 28°F out.

To me, it's just a good opportunity to have my bike apart for mods while I won't be missing any riding. My Nightster is currently sitting without a seat, tank, ignition coil, air cleaner, throttle cables, or brake hose.

No, I have not ridden in just over a year, when your not working it's hard to find extra $$ for insurance on a non essential vehicle.

ouch yeah that's no good. Best of luck getting back to a state of gainful employment.

Fortunately down south I can call my Bronco II the non-essential vehicle most of the year...it actually cost me about 1/7th what my bike did. Which is why I'm always spending $$$ on the bike while my Bronco II needs brakes, wheel bearings, shocks...

my dad owns one of these (buell lightning) his is blacked out,hes working on a custom HID kit and he put a magnaflow muffler on it. i rode it around the block. frist time on a bike and i want one!:D id probley get in trouble or kill myself on one lol

I really like Buells (sad to see them shut down) and if I was going to get one it would be basically any one of the XB other than the Ulysses. I just dig that fuel in the frame, oil in the swingarm, rim-mounted rotor technology stuff. Funny that it was wrapped around a 25 year old engine design based on 80 year old engine tech, but if it aint broke don't fix it, right?

My boss has one of the early S1 Lightnings, I think it's a '97. Not nearly as advanced as the new ones but still pretty freakin cool.

I wanted to get a new XB when Buell got shut down. A dealership near me was selling them for 4k brand new just to unload them. Unfortunately, I can't afford insurance on one. It would be over 300 bucks a month.

I'm happy with the Cyclone, though. Great bike, and somehow it only costs me 50 bucks a month for full coverage.
